What is Karaoke?
Karaoke is a medium of entertainment popularized by the Japanese. In Karaoke the amateur singers sing with the instrumental music played in the background. The singer is helped with by providing the lyrics of the song, which can be displayed on a screen or provided as a hand out. The first Karaoke machine was introduced in the 1970’s in Japan. Karaoke has become a craze since then .The reason being that Karaoke lightens up the atmosphere, which is otherwise filled up with passive listeners.
Karaoke Bars
Karaoke Bars are the bars where there is a Karaoke machine installed for the customers. You can select a song of your choice and the music will be played for it. You can the sing along with the music. The Karaoke machine has a collection of a number of old as well as new songs. The bars also have a Karaoke rooms wherein a customer or a group of customers usually book the room. The room has a separate Karaoke machine and the group can used it. The room also has couches to relax and has all the support for enjoying the Karaoke. The drinks ordered are served in the Karaoke room. The charges applied are based on the drinks and the usage of the room.
The trend is now very famous in America, and Australia and through out the continent of Europe. The music that is played is a very popular song, known to the audience. The volume is deliberately lowered so that the original singer's voice is not heard. This allows ‘our' singer's voice to be heard. In some cases, the lyrics of the song also accompany the song and are displayed to the singer so that there is a musical rhythm and a background cover too. These clubs have sometimes, new techniques for garnering maximum customers like a wide LCD display of the music original video. In the typical karaoke style one needs to only mention a particular key or note and then begin singing without the requirement of a live orchestra or a band.
